More than a brochure site if a person builds it, because a contractor site has more to do: every service on its own line, a phone number that dials, a quote form, a service area and photos of the work. Titan builds all of that from your Google listing: free to see, $97 today (first week of hosting free), $97/month starts one week later, 30-day guarantee.
A contractor website is not a brochure. It has one job: turn a homeowner with a problem into a phone call or a form you can answer. To do that it needs the phone number on every screen and dialable with a thumb, every service you offer on its own line so the search for "water heater repair" lands on words about water heaters, a quote form that reaches your email in seconds, the towns you cover written out, and photos that look like your trade instead of an office.
Every one of those is a thing someone has to build. That is why a quote for a trade site comes back higher than the quote for a two-page site for a consultant, and why the cheapest page you can get is often the most expensive one you can own.
Pages. A plumber with eighteen services who wants each one findable is asking for eighteen sections, each written, each with a picture. A roofer wants storm damage and insurance claims explained. An electrician wants his license number where the state says it goes. An agency charges by the hour and a trade site has more hours in it.
Then the local search work: your town in the right places, the structured information Google reads, the speed on a phone. It is not magic and it is not optional, and it is another line on the quote.
You can build it yourself on a drag-and-drop builder for a monthly subscription and a few lost weekends. You can pay a freelancer or an agency a build fee and then hosting and change fees for as long as you keep it. Or you can use a done-for-you service that builds it from what already exists about your business and charges a flat monthly rate.
Which is right depends on two things: how much of your own time you are willing to spend, and how often the site will need to change. A contractor whose services, prices and hours never move can live with a builder. One who adds a service every spring and moves his phone to the truck in summer needs changes to be cheap and fast, or the site goes stale.
There is a price on the other side of the ledger too. Every "plumber near me" search in your town returns a list of sites, and the one that is not there does not get the call. A referral who cannot find you online after your name was passed along is a job that went to the next name on the list. You do not see that cost on any invoice; it is simply a phone that rings a little less than it could.
Nobody can tell you exactly what that is worth in your town. But for most trades the answer is more than a month of hosting, and usually in the first month.
Titan builds the whole contractor site - services, number, form, service area, photos of the trade - from your Google listing in 10-15 minutes, and you look at it before you pay. Free to see, no card. If you want it: $97 today (first week of hosting free), $97/month starts one week later, 30-day guarantee. Hosting, the security certificate and 50 plain-English edits a month are in that number. No contract.
Each trade has its own page here with a live demo you can open on your phone: plumber website design, roofing website design, electrician website design, HVAC website design and garage door company website design. Every other trade is on the websites for contractors page. Judge the demo, not the description.
Can I see the finished site before I commit? Is my phone number tappable on a phone? Does every service I offer get its own line, or do I get a "Services" paragraph? Where does the quote form go, and how fast? What does it cost to change my hours next week, and who does it? What do I pay in total each month once everything is added? Who owns the photos and the words if I leave?
Any builder, agency or service that answers those seven questions plainly is worth talking to. Any that answers with a brochure is not. The rest is price, and price is only meaningful once the answers are the same.
Titan fits a contractor whose site needs to do the four plain things - list the services, ring the phone, take a quote, name the towns - and whose services change often enough that paying a designer for every edit would hurt. It fits the owner who wants to see the thing built before deciding, because that is exactly how it works.
Titan does not fit a general contractor bidding commercial work through a portfolio of large projects, a franchise that must match a national brand, or a firm that wants a custom-designed site as a statement. Those are agency jobs. It also will not suit an owner who wants to phone a designer and talk it through; there is no designer, there is a dashboard.
Not a separate page for each, but a separate line with a few words of its own, yes. The homeowner searches for the problem - "broken garage door spring", "roof leaking" - and the site that names that problem wins over the one that says "we do it all". Titan puts every service you list on its own line and gives the big ones their own section.
You can get a free page with a builder's name in your address and their advert on it, and a free listing on Google that is not a website. Neither lists your services properly or takes a quote. Titan's demo is free to see - the full site, built - and you only pay when you want it live under your own name.
Titan builds sites for over a hundred local trades - concrete, fencing, pest control, pressure washing, gutters, painting, cleaning and the rest. Start from the websites for contractors page to find your trade, or just type your business name on the get-started page and pick your trade from the list.
Type your business name and see your own site, free, before you decide anything.
